This is a original pencil and pastel on paper by R. H. Palenske. American (1884- 1954). Signed, dated 1935 and titled " Arab - Suez, Egypt". Excellent condition, the image size is 10 1/2" X 13 1/2", with mat and frame 17 1/4" X 21 1/4". R. H. Palenske - painter, illustrator, engraver, pupil of W. Reynolds is listed in Mallet, Samuels, Dawdy, Who..., Davenport's. This drawing is extremely well executed, the detail is outstanding. |
