- tea cup and saucer, circa 1765. Cup: height 1
5/8",
diameter 2 7/8". Saucer: diameter 5 1/8" Mark - crossed
swords and dot within concentric rings in under glaze blue on cup and saucer.
The cup with the letter "B" in the under glaze blue and
impressed "60", the saucer with "49" and a cross
"formee" impressed, the foot rim with the cipher painter's
mark in under glaze blue. The cup and saucer are painted in under glaze
blue with the " rock and bird" pattern. The cup has a c-shaped
handle and with a flower in the center, the pattern is framed at the top
and bottom by lines. The interior rims with double loops
border. (bonds with the egg and dart motif). Condition: Good |
