dinner plate circa 1755, diameter 9 1/2". Mark: crossed swords
under glaze blue and impressed numeral "36". The plate has a
petal-shaped gilding edge, divided into twelve sections, and molded in a
basket weave pattern known as the "alt ozier" or old ozier
pattern. The plate is painted with scattered sprigs and bouquet of
natural flowers. In a good shape with no cracks or chips, some wear to
the surface and gold rim. |
