Meissen - tea bowl & saucer.

Tea bowl and saucer circa 1750 - 1760.  Cup: height 1 7/8", saucer: diameter  5 1/4"  Mark: crossed swords under glaze blue on cup and saucer, impressed numeral to cup and saucer. Each ribbed on the inside and painted in the Kakiemon style with purple and heightened in gilding flowering chrysanthemum and peony branches issuing from a banded hedge. The bowl interior with a flower sprig in the center. The rims with stylized, foliate border also are painted in purple with gold. Very good shape with no cracks, some wear to the surface and rim.
