A teapot and cover circa 1765, height 4". Mark: crossed swords and dot under glaze blue. The tea pot is bullet shaped with a twig handle and it is painted on each side in purple monochrome (camaieu) with a genre landscape and river front scene. The painting is of exceptional quality. The cover similarly decorated with flower knob painted in gold. The spout and handle with flower terminals with gilded detail, gilt rim around the base. Condition: Very good, very minute chips to footrim and chips to flower on knob.
