Saucer circa 1740. Mark: blue crossed swords, gilder's number "28" and on inside foot ring incised into paste under glaze "2" former's mark, diameter 5 1/4". The center are painted in purple monochrome with battle scenes following prints by Rugendas. The scenes are framed in cartouches of gold lattice and scrollwork  with purple shadowing. The interior rim has lacy gold scroll bands. The purple flowers and butterfly are painted on the surrounding porcelain. Condition: good, slight rubbing to the surface.
