A saucer and tea cup circa 1750. Cup: height 1 3/4", saucer: diameter 4 3/8". Mark: crossed swords under glaze blue on cup and saucer. The saucer interior and teacup exterior are painted in polychrome with peasant genre scenes following the style of David Teniers. The sides and the gilt-edged Alt-Ozier molded rim with small scattered springs of flowers. The cup interior with a flower in the center. Gilded details on the wishbone handle. Condition: very good. |
