A saucer and cup circa 1735. Cup: height 17/8", saucer: diameter 5 1/4" Mark: crossed swords under glaze blue on cup and saucer, on saucer on inside foot ring incised into paste under glaze "2" former's mark, possibly for Johann Dietrich or Carl Gottlob Wolff. The cup and saucer are painted in Imari style in underglaze blue, enamels and gilding with a flower vase by a fence and flowering branches. The cup interior with a flower in the center. The interior rim of the cup and saucer with a formal border reserved with chrysanthemums. The underside of the saucer with three scattered flowers. Condition: good with haircrack and tiny chip to lower base of handle on teacup. This pattern is found on three tea bowls and saucers in the Henry Arnhold collection which are  featured illustrations ( on pg. 322, 323) in the book " The Arnhold Collection of Meissen porcelain 1710-50"
