A saucer and cup circa 1765. Cup: height 17/8", saucer: diameter 5 1/8" Mark: crossed swords and dot under glaze blue on cup and saucer, impressed numbers to both. The cup and saucer are painted in purple monochrome (camaieu) with genre landscape and river front scene. The cup exterior is painted with a three - quarter panorama. The cup interior with a flower in the center The interior rim of the cup and saucer have a gold dentil border. The cup has two golden flowers painted on either side of the handle, gilded details on the handle and gilt rim around the base. Condition: Very good, very small bottom rim chips to saucer.
