MEISSEN - Circa 1740. Mark : Crossed swords in under glaze blue, gilder's letter " H " inside foot rim , impressed "52"  Diameter: 5 3/8". The center interior of the saucer is painted in the style of J. G. Horoldt  with polychrome chinoiseries scene with gold details. The scene is framed within a quatrefoil cartouche edged in perlmutter vignettes and brown - shaded gilt scrollwork and patterned panels. The exterior rim of the saucer is painted in gold with broad bonds of scrollwork. The underside of the saucer is painted with three sprays of oriental polychrome flowers. The foot rim is bordered with gold bands. Good shape with no crack or chips, some wear to the surface and rim.
